History
The origins of Marina Dąbie date back to 2015, when a group of sailing enthusiasts started activities to develop sailing infrastructure in Szczecin. In 2016, the group formalized its work by establishing the Sun & Sail Foundation.
An important step in the development of sailing infrastructure was the Foundation’s obtaining funding from the European Union for the “Yacht Port – Marina Dąbie” project. A grant of PLN 4.8 million supported the construction of a modern marina with over 200 mooring places (the entire investment cost approximately PLN 13 million). This, combined with the existing infrastructure, now makes up a large marina that offers 300 berths.
The ceremonial opening of the port took place in May 2019. The marina became an immediate hit, attracting sailors from all over the country. The Sun & Sail Foundation actively worked to promote sailing and water sports in Szczecin. She organized sailing training as well as educational events for children and teenagers.
Marina Dąbie offers not only comfortable moorings. There is a water equipment rental, catering outlets, a sailing shop and yacht repair workshops on its premises.
